About Us

Family Medical Care of Lawrence County treats patients at every stage of life, from newborns to the elderly. Our family medicine providers care for the whole person, understanding spiritual and mental well-being are important to overall health. Dr. James L. Gardner III, MD

Dr. Gardner has practiced medicine since 2005 and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA and then pursued his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, graduating in 2002. He completed his residency at In His Image Family Medicine Residency in Tulsa, OK. A Christian program focused on excellent, high quality, compassionate medicine in a wide variety of settings. Through these accomplishments and his faith in Jesus Christ, Dr. Gardner is committed to providing the highest quality of care to each and every person.

Dr. Gardner is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Society, American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. He is actively involved with his church, local community happenings, and multiple mission organizations. He enjoys sports, including water and downhill skiing, exercising and spending time with his wife Melissa and their six children.

Kelsey Puskar, PA-C

Kelsey Puskar grew up in West Middlesex, PA. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Clarion University, where she was a member of the women’s cross country and track programs. Kelsey’s post graduate education was at Slippery Rock University, completing the physician assistant program in 2019. When she is not taking care of patients in the office, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her husband, Jacob and their dogs, Krew and Benji. She also enjoys reading, running and spending time exploring the outdoors.

Grace McCracken, PA-C

Grace McCracken is the newest member of our clinical team at Family Medical Care.  She is originally from Bloomington, Indiana and came to Western PA in 2017 to attend Geneva College, where she studied biology and was a member of the women’s volleyball program.  She graduated from Geneva in 2020 and completed her degree in physician assistant studies at Chatham University in 2022.  Grace is new to the New Wilmington area, but is excited to learn more about the community and our patients.  Outside of medicine, Grace is involved with her church in Beaver, PA and enjoys playing volleyball, exercising, cooking, and spending time with her husband Quinn and their family and friends.
